Ruido Rosa
Ruido Rosa started in 2005.
The band was founded by Carla Sariñana and Mariana Mercado, shortly after, Alejandra and Daniela joined the band. With them, the band started to constantly play in every “Battle of the Bands” and venue they could, causing sensation as one of the few all girl rock bands in Mexico.
After been playing rock covers for a while, the band started to compose their own songs influenced by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Jack White making their own sound and getting known for their powerful performances.
In 2008, Mariana, co-founder and drummer of the band left leaving Maryluz Alatriste as drummer until 2012 when Alicia Zepeda, current drummer of the band, took over.
In 2009, Ruido Rosa recorded their first EP under the production of Diego Solorzano and co-production of Guido Laris, finishing the mix with long time friend Jose Portilla.
Ruido Rosa toured around Mexico continuously promoting their first record, causing great media impact.
“Dentro”, their first single, was released in 2010 and #1 in Mexico iTunes sales for the first week.
“Miedo a Caer”, their second single, was released in August of 2011. Their first record concluded with
“Días de Verano” as third single.
Many songs from their first record have been placed in Mexican indie films as well ads for brands such as T- Mobile Latin and AT&T.
Opportunities opening for bands such as KISS (2010), Maroon 5 (2011), The Joy Formidable (2011), Queens of the Stoneage (2014), Goo Goo Dolls (2019), have helped the band get a great reputation.
They ́ve also performed in festivals such as Corona Capital, Vive Latino, Marvin Festival, Ruido Fest, Indio Catrina, Viva Pomona and SXSW and toured around Mexico since 2010.
Ruido Rosa has also had the opportunity to work with brands such as Paco Rabanne, Cerveza Indio, Ray Ban, Converse, Vans, Mac Cosmetics, Tiffany and Co, Lagunitas, and Calvin Klein.
In 2013 they recorded a small EP with two new singles “Amanecer” and “Persona” produced by Grammy winner Camilo Froideval and released that same year, releasing “Amanecer” in 2014.
After a small personal break, the band continued playing live shows but waited until 2017 to record a new record with producers Patricio Davila and Jose Pablo Ibarra from Mylko. “Fragmentos” was released on June 2019 with 4 singles behind it before the big launch. The band presented the EP with a sold-out show at Foro Budlight in Mexico City playing full stages also at shows like Festival Catrina, Lagunitas Beer Circus, and venues around Mexico.
