Espacios vacíos Vol. 2 is a compilation that brings together music made by Latin American women where, yes, feminine energy is underlined thanks to compositions that range from alt pop to indie; however, in the 11 songs that it includes, according to Carla Sariñana and Moni Saldaña, orchestrators of the work, it also “emphasizes the importance of making women’s projects more visible despite the few places they are given to demonstrate.” Then there is a vinyl pressed by Devil in the Woods (DIW) where everything was carved by women, from the content of its grooves to the art of its cover. Saldaña and Sariñana themselves talk about this and more, accompanied by several of the artists that make up the work.
