Petit Amie is the name of the alternate project of Carlos Medina, bassist of Little Jesus with Santiago Fernández, Jacobo Velázquez and the two perfect voices of Aline Terrein and Isabel Dosal. With a very unique indie sound, they take what seems to be Mac DeMarco lo-fi influences with a fresher sense and integrating familiar elements that we have heard in Mexico. The project sounds interesting and its visual proposal is even more attractive.

And continuing with the idea of a heavy sound, the trio of the Mengers from Mexico arrives with a quite garage sound influenced by technological sounds that caught our attention from the first riffs and an excellent concept. Although they already had a few pretty solid singles, they released their Golly album earlier this year, proving they had other weapons up their sleeves and the result is a perfect head-busting job. Of course, we can’t wait to see what’s next.
